White Paper Query
I’m doing research for a white paper and am looking for businesses, non-profits and other organizations who lost a Facebook community because they were engaging through a Profile instead of through a Page. If you’ve experienced this and are willing to share about it, I would greatly appreciate an email from you with the following information and answers; please put the word QUERY in the email subject line.
Please answer the following questions and provide the url to your website and to your current Facebook presence (if you have either).
- Why did you choose to create a Profile instead of a Page?
- Did you understand that engaging through a Profile instead of a Page was against Facebook’s Terms of Service? How long had the Profile been active before it was deleted?
- How many Friends did your Profile have when it was deleted?
- What parts of the Profile tools did you use to engage with your Friends; i.e. Chat, Messages, posting directly on Friends’ Walls, etc.
- Did you contact Facebook about your deleted Profile?
- What response did you receive?
- After losing your Profile community, did you re-build using a Page? If so, how long has your Page been active and how many Fans does your Page currently have?
